Story
Dear family & friends!
I have registered for the annual Pub2Pub 13k Fun Run, from Dee Why RSL to The Newport Arms at the end of August!
It’s the first organised run I’ve ever done so I’m taking it pretty seriously; with 5 weeks to go I have cut down on the red wine, as well as the bacon & eggs rolls, and plan to turn up the intensity to ‘no chocolate’ very soon (-ish).
I am running/jogging - or most probably walking - to raise funds for NBI which is a fantastic charity, very close to my heart. They have been a lifesaver for us – they provide Joe with Saturday care where he connects with his peers and has amazing adventures, they offer holiday care which is critical for us, & they have found Joe a truly wonderful host family who are very dear to our hearts, who hang with Joe at the weekends & spoil him rotten!

Northern Beaches Interchange Inc
Young people with disabilities have a great need to participate in the community, however many require support and assistance to do so. They have a need to be with and develop friendships with their peers and to be involved in activities that challenge and extend them.
NBI believes whole-heartedly that people with disabilities should enjoy individual choice, new opportunities, stretched boundaries and connected communities. We support families right across the Northern Beaches by providing awesome respite, recreation and support services through our passionate and dedicated team of staff and volunteers.
